Action Track Chair : A Vehicle for Change

What an amazing invention! This chair has no problem traversing over bumps in the road, gravel, etc.  - in fact, it actually seems to ride better on the rough spots than on a smooth surface. I had a chance to try it out yesterday. If you know someone in the Marin County area who is bound to a wheel chair, I highly recommend they give it a whirl while Don Swenson, the West Coast rep, is in town. He leaves on Friday.

The People's Budget : Worth Another Look

Economic snapshot : The People's Budget    : worth another look?

The "#fuckyouwashington" : Now that I have your attention

Seems to me a whole lot of people are angry at representatives of BOTH Parties Washington and for good reason.
But why get angry and start tweeting swear words that have no chance of trending on twitter?  Now is not the time to sit around with a "wait and see" attitude.
Speak up, America. Use the technology available to us and let's use it wisely! The "f" word is an attention getter - but so is trending on twitter.
Warning - trying to mentions Justin Bieber doesn't seem to help. I tried it as an experiment.
"please RT- Justin Bieber is rich, and I know he would pay more taxes to Save America "

Anywaay, the point I'm trying to make is - if you have a cell phone, get a twitter account and start tweeting what you really feel.
And though in vino veritas, if you've had too much to drink before you choose to speak up, tag your tweet with #twi (tweeting while intoxicated.)

Bookmobile : A Vehicle for Change

Yesterday morning, I took a ride in Tom Corwin's Bookmobile!
What fun, and what a great project! My time in the Bookmobile brought me back to my youth, when I spent hours and hours pouring over the pages of "Make and Do" - a volume of the Childcraft encyclopedia.
I love this project - Tom is taking the Bookmobile on the road to collect and document stories of famous authors as they take a turn "Behind the Wheel of the Bookmobile." Stay Tuned!

hosted by Mari Mack & Livin' Like Kings.
We appreciate live music, melody and musicianship!

We appreciate people who care about other people!
Meet new kindred spirits, listen to music played with heart and soul, and celebrate life.
Bring business cards.
Believe in the power to create a better world, starting in our own backyard.
Here's how it works : 7:30, we open the doors to let in our friends on our rehearsal, then at 8:00, the band plays for two hours (with a break in there somewhere) Sometimes, Arne Frager invites a guest artist or two sit in with the band - (guest appearances are pre-arranged. If you would like to be a guest musician, contact Arne through his website, http://arnefrager.blogspot.com )
Recent guests : Tammi Brown, Don Bassey, Tomas Dessle, Scott Petersen, Prairie Prince, Lauren and Judge Murphy (Lansdale Station) Given Arne's 20 year history of running The Plant Studios in Sausalito, and his long list of album credits, you never know who will show up!
Friends bring snacks to share and it's a POTLUCK - in a literal and musical sense!
Artsboretum is a non-profit music/arts incubator cultivated by a group of conscious, creative people.
